1. Play, now available to everyone
We´ve just made a huge statement committed to our mission:
“Provide best-in-class performance analysis tools to football clubs and organizations at all levels of the game.”
We believe that the true POWER of sport exists off the field as much as on. So today, we launched an all-new Play by Metrica Sports, including a new free plan, Play Basic. We believe is a huge step that intends to breach the gap between grass-roots and elite.
With Play Basic any team in the world is able to cover the whole workflow to improve team performance: For €0 a month (yes, it’s free), you can Code, Visualize and Present.

2. A fresh new look to match our vision
Along with the new free plan we wanted to establish a visual vocabulary that truly expresses what we’re excited about and reflects our vision as a company.
Our new logo is the shape of ‘M’ for Metrica. It is inspired by the skill of dribbling a football. The passion and dynamism is symbolised through our logo.

3. Field Detection improved for broadcast videos
Our technology powered by artificial intelligence have been taking huge steps as well: all the visualizations that were optimized for wide-angles, now available on broadcast games.
The Metrica Sports technology that detects the field on each frame is now optimized for a wider range of videos, making it possible to plot quantifiable information more efficiently on games from television.You can start a free trial to explore how our AI technology works!
With more than 80 clubs using Metrica Sports software and services every month in 25 countries, including the Portuguese Federation, Dinamo Zagreb, Panathinaikos, Levante, OGC Nice and EFL clubs Peterborough United and Stockport Country, we see it as our duty to ensure our product is more accessible, reliable, and delightful to use than ever before.
